United Business Intermediaries (UBI) Shipping & Payments Policy
1. Payment Terms
United Business Intermediaries (UBI) offers secure and flexible payment methods tailored for international trade. All payments must be made in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted Methods
- Transferable Letter of Credit (L/C): We accept transferable Letters of Credit from reputable international banks. All L/Cs must be confirmed and advised through our bank. Terms must be agreed upon prior to order confirmation.
- Telegraphic Transfer (T/T): We accept T/T bank transfers. Our standard terms are:
- 30% deposit payable upon signing the proforma invoice.
- 70% balance payable against copy of Bill of Lading and shipping documents.
- Important: Payment terms must be finalized and stated on the proforma invoice before production or shipment begins.
2. Shipping Terms
UBI provides two streamlined options for shipping to ensure clarity and flexibility for our clients.
- Option 1: C.I.F. (Cost, Insurance, Freight) [Port of Destination]
- UBI will handle the entire shipping process through our trusted and pre-vetted freight forwarding partners.
- This quoted price includes the cost of the goods, all marine insurance, and freight charges to the agreed destination port.
- The customer is responsible for all costs and procedures after arrival at the destination port, including customs clearance, local taxes, and onward transportation.
- Option 2: F.O.B. (Free On Board) [Port of Loading]
- The customer can appoint their own freight forwarder to handle the shipment.
- UBI's responsibility ends once the goods are safely loaded onto the vessel at the port of origin. We will provide all necessary documentation to facilitate this process.
- The customer bears all costs and risks thereafter.
3. Process & Responsibilities
- Quotations: All quotes will explicitly state the chosen Incoterm (e.g., CIF Los Angeles, FOB Shanghai).
- Shipping Documentation: Upon full payment, UBI will provide the complete set of shipping documents, including:
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Insurance Certificate (if under CIF terms)
- Delivery Timeline: Production and delivery timelines are provided upon order confirmation and are contingent on timely payments and client feedback.
